Dignified Aging Strategies is the culmination of a vast array of life experiences for Owner and President Nathan Brimm, RN, BSN. As a veteran of the United States Navy, Nathan spent three of his six years of service aboard the USS Independence, an aircraft carrier based out of Japan. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Nathan landed in South Louisiana and the police academy. After working in the patrol division, undercover as a narcotics investigator, and on the SWAT team, Nathan made the decision to end his law enforcement career and return home to his family in northern Nevada. Nathan then found his true calling as a nurse and graduated from Carrington College in 2012. After gaining experience in a children’s psychiatric facility, he moved to working in hospice, where he spent five years helping patients and their families navigate end-of-life transitions with peace and dignity.

During this time, he began working part-time in care management, an area of nursing where his skillset was truly aligned with his clients’ needs. He could help patients and families with everything from navigating complex hospital stays to creating care plans that focused on quality of life and a safe living environment. He enjoyed having the time to get to know his patients on a deeper level and his communicative style gave family members peace of mind.

With nearly five years of care management, and ten years of nursing experience behind him, Nathan decided it was time to establish his own company where he could oversee every detail of his work. At Dignified Aging Strategies, every case is handled personally by him, reflecting his commitment to excellence.

As a northern Nevada native, Nathan has a deep well of resources and knowledge that benefit his clients. He creates strong relationships built on trust and communication that result in optimal outcomes.

Nathan is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, backpacking and camping anywhere he can call home for the night. His son recently graduated from Texas State University and is pursuing a career in law enforcement. He and his fiancé, Monica, enjoy adventure travel around the world to places like Nepal, France, Italy, and the Swiss Alps.
